  • Xanga Land...it's been so long!!!

Wow...I have not posted in forever!!!!

Well I finally graduated from NSU....YAY!!! I got my diploma just the other day!!! I still haven't got a frame for it yet...I need to before I mess it up some how!! It felt really good graduating from college...I have to say I was a little proud of myself.

This summer has just flown by...June, July, and August seem like a blur! I've been busy planning my wedding with my mom all summer. My mom is great! She's very organized. We've been pretty much done since the end of July early August. Just have to do last minute stuff that you can't really do until closer to the wedding day (Food). Gotta have grub!!!!

I've not really started stressing about anything except Blake and I are buying a house! It's a little 2 bedroom, 1 bath house...but its gonna be perfect just because it will be our house. It's right in town just a block over from my Grandpa and Tam/Scott.  I'm really excited about decorating it. We have no living room furniture so if you know of anywhere that has furniture cheap but nice...Please tell me where!!! We didn't exactly want to live in town, but when you get a deal like we did you just can't pass it up!!! The funny thing is I'm hoping were in it by Halloween so I can give out candy to the Kiddos.

Our first shower is this coming Sunday...I'm excited! I don't know if Blake is or not but he better be!!!  It's the one the church is throwing for us. We have a great Church family. Blake and I are very blessed to have everyone there in our lives. I love our Church...I couldn't imagine going anywhere else...

Well i better get off of here...I have to be at work in 30 minutes...

  • 2 weeks and counting...

Well the semester is almost over...I can't believe it! I will be graduating college! It's been a long 5 years. I'm really excited to be graduating, but at the same time I am so scared! I'm afraid that I won't get all the stuff I need to get done on time! Graduation is May 10th...so I only have 5 days of actual class left!!! I'm stressing out...BIG TIME!!! Not to mention that I got my schedule for the next 2 weeks and I'm scheduled to work a lot more hours than usual...You'd think I would be happy about that but i'm not!!! This whole semester I haven't worked that many hours and the week before finals she schedules me to work way more than I wanted to!!! I just want to get good grades!!!

I'm really worried about finding a job. I will be graduating with a marketing degree, and I still don't know what I want to do! I want to do something with my degree, but I don't know!! I want a Mon-Fri job with good benefits!!! If anyone knows where I might be able to find a job around this area...Please let me know...I've been working as a bank teller for almost 3 years...that's about all the working experience I have. I don't want to have to move way off!! I don't want to work at my current job, no room for advancement...the people there are gonna stay there!!!!

I'm taking years off my life by worrying too much!!!!

If anyone has any words of wisdom or advice...Please send them my way!!!!

  • He couldn't have planned anything more perfect!!

Feb. 29th, 2008 will be a leap day I will remember forever!!!

Blake Proposed to ME!!! I'm sooo excited...and still can't believe it happened!! His little plan was perfect...I was totally shocked!!!

Our evening started off like any other date...He picked me up from work and we headed off! We were going to the Canebreak. If you're wondering what that is or where it's at...I'll tell ya! It's  between Hulbert and Wagoner on HWY 51. It's a really nice resort place with a yoga barn, restaurant, cabins, and much more! A friend of mine works there a.k.a Sara Croney...she played a big part in this whole evening and she was our waitress!

So we reach our destination. Canebreak. It was beautiful! As we're pulling into the parking lot Blake says "I hope you don't need reservations here...cause I don't have any!" I was thinking oh no!...we're gonna walk up there and they're gonna turn us away! We get in the restaurant and the hostess meets us with "Good evening...Name?" Blake says his name and says Sara was supposed to set it up for us. He faked me out...we had a table...By the Way, I still don't know if you have to have reservations! We had a great dinner. I had all natural Ribeye...but what other way is there...IDK...with steamed veggies and they tasted like French Fries, but they weren't really Fries...thats my best explanation of what they were. Blake had Elk tenderloin...it was fantastic, and some type of mashed potato. After dinner the Chef came out and asked how our dinner was and if we were having desert...we replied No...with the attitude of fullness attached!!

Sara came up and said that the Chef made us a special Desert anyway and that we were gonna get to look around the place at some of the things they have there. I was wondering why she didn't have the desert with her and why we were going on a tour, but I still had no clue what was coming!!! So the Four of us hopped on a golf cart and took off...us being: Blake, Me, Sara, and the owner. He drove us by the indoor volleyball court that will be moved to make room for the Olympic size pool and spa...and we came to some of the Cabins...he pulled into one and Said "Sara, why don't you show them Rm 104." So we climbed out and walked up the stairs to the Cabin. I still had no idea!!!

As we walked up to the door I thought I saw rose petals on the porch floor but wasn't for sure because it was so dark. Sara stood to the side and Blake opened the screendoor and he told me to go ahead! I opened the door and walked in to see a table set up for two in the cabin dining area covered in rose petals and candles. There was a picture of me and Blake,  a vase full of roses, a candle, and the desert sitting on the Table waiting for us!! I was in PURE SHOCK AT THIS TIME!!!! Blake shut the door came and grabbed my hands and began to get down on one knee...water works began!! I can't even remember what all was said I distinctly remember "Will you marry Me?" YES!!!!  It didn't take me long to Answer!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Then I said "wheres the ring?" He didnt have a box or the ring in his hand...The Chef had put the Ring in the fancy desert...it wasnt inside the desert but more like on top of parts of the desert...it was Delicious by the Way!!!

So we sat there in the Cabin eating our desert, taking pictures, and soaking in the moment of what just happened. I couldn't hardly eat...too excited!!! Then I had to call my parents, Blake's parents, sisters, and send what I thought were a 1000 text messages!! It turned out to be an absolutely perfect evening and I still can't believe it happened!!!

Pictures will be coming soon!!!! Oh Yeah!!! I'm Engaged!!!!!! (Screaming)

  • It's been a while...

Things are getting off to a great start this summer...I passed all my classes(passed finance, big sigh of relief), Went to Las Vegas with Blake and his family, Had a great Birthday, and a week from Saturday I leave for Mexico with the youth group.  I'm really excited to go to Mexico to serve and I get to hang out with two of my besties (Cassie and Yasmin) for a week.

To be perfectly honest i'm a little anxious of going to Mexico...I've been there before and it was an amazing experience, but I was single and wasn't leaving someone here at home. I know i'm not married to the person, but we see each other just about everyday...so being away for a week is just crazy!!! LOL!!! Those of you who read this don't make fun of me for saying that...I'm just being honest and it feels good getting that off my chest... The day after we leave is Blake's Birthday too...which makes me kinda sad because i'm not going to be here for it, but he told me it's ok! He informed me that he's gonna invite the boys down and camp out for his birthday...Be praying for their safety; they get kinda crazy when they're all together...Unsupervised!!! But I just ask for prayers that these uneasy feelings will subside and I'll have a great time!!

I applied for a new job this week!!! I think it will be a great opportunity in the long run for me. Prayers Please!!!

I didn't get to do the internship that I wanted but, not getting it is allowing me to go to Mexico. Look at what God has already allowed me to do...and it's not even June yet.

Well I better get off of here and do some stuff before work...
